The place smelled amazing the moment I walked in. The aroma was mouth watering. I had the bread appetizer and the cream spread, and that spread was so delicious. I even dipped my fries in it! I ate the Schnitzel Club Sandwich, which was fantastic. The fries were crispy and salty and hot! The food was prepared wonderfully and tasted fantastic. The staff is very welcoming and kind. The menu price is modest and well worth it. I highly recommend the Apple Strudel for dessert. If you don’t have room, MAKE ROOM! It was so, so good. Hot apples and ice cream. What a combo. I will definitely be back to visit again.
We stopped here for the first time for lunch. Smaller seating area but there was an open table. I tried a smoke beer from Germany. Interesting taste but 1 and done! I had the Bratwurst dinner platter with Sauerkraut and German potatoes. It was excellent. I don't recall having Sauerkraut with a little brown sugar in it before and I liked it. Ruby had a Warsteiner Dunkle which we have at home and is the only beer she likes. She got the pierogies which were a plateful. We both had a nice salad to start with. Even though they have some tempting desserts, we were too full to participate in any. Janet was the only server and very efficient. I'm sure that we will be back!
Ordered the pork medallions and was disappointed ???? Box Zatarans rice as a side? Really? Hubby ordered the liver and onions....he said it was delicious ???? Don't think I will be back.
With a menu full of schnitzel's, and they all sound delicious, I just can't resist ordering the Ruben sandwich with potato salad. A cold beer, warm German potato salad, and a delicious Ruben gets me every time. Great for lunch, the staff is friendly and attentive, the food is great, and just finding the restaurant (hidden in a small strip mall) instantly makes you a local "in the know". Do not miss this great lunch destination.
